October 14-15th the Presiding Elders and a representative of each district completed the International Leadership Institutes History Makers Journey. Bishops Webb and Greenway lead us in the studies. The purpose of History Makers equips leaders in spreading the Gospel. On the surface you would think that every pastor and Christ follower would already know and be committed to the spreading of the good news of Jesus Christ. Knowing and be committed is not the issue for the church, how to do it is.
History Makers augments the work of our Multiplication Team. As a Conference we are committed to every church being a part of planting new churches, we are also committed to renewing every existing church. Our work is for those who do not yet know the saving grace of Jesus and for those who need to grow deep in their faith.
Over this next year, our goal as presiding elders and cabinet is to give every local church the tools they need to successful fulfill the call of Christ! We will see the body of Christ not only grow but we will see it multiply.
The first step in the transforming work of God is our commitment to pray. We are asking God to put a burning desire to do what God calls us to do! We pray that our heart will burn with the desire to see the lost found and the believer transformed into a disciple! Let’s prepare our hearts so that when History Makers comes to your district or local church, we are ready to go!
